Corey Isaac (Development of a Two-Person Model of Condom Use Intentions and Behaviour)
The Canadian Sex Research Forum (CSRF) grants awards to the best student presentations at the Annual Conference each year. Generally, three student awards are given: for the best oral presentation, best data blitz presentation, and best poster presentation. Our oral and data blitz presentation awards are generously supported by long-standing partners of CSRF, The Sex Education and Information Council of Canada (SIECCAN).
A multidisciplinary panel working in the area of human sexuality will evaluate the presentations. The winner of the awards will be announced at the closing of the Annual Conference and will receive a certificate and voucher for free registration at a future CSRF Annual Conference.
To be eligible for the Student Award, individuals must be a student at the time of abstract submission or at the time of presentation at the Annual Conference. Students registered in a Canadian undergraduate or graduate program, as well as Canadian students registered in an undergraduate or graduate program in another country are eligible to receive an award. Individuals are ineligible for the Student Award if they have already graduated from a doctoral program before their presentation at the Annual Conference. Students who have graduated from an undergraduate or master's program and who submitted their abstracts while still a student are eligible for the student award (although not the student registration). Students who graduate from a doctoral/post-doctoral program are not eligible for a student award (nor for student registration).
Students who would like to be considered for the awards must be the first author on the paper they are presenting, must indicate their preference for being considered on the Call for Abstracts, and include a letter or email from his/her advisor confirming his/her student status. Only presentations of research results will be considered for the student award.
This award is jointly offered in partnership by the Canadian Sex Research Forum (CSRF) and the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality (CJHS).
This award is given to recognize an outstanding manuscript by a student member of CSRF that is published in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality.
Eligible manuscripts will be those based on research presented at CSRF’s Annual Conference that is subsequently submitted to and published in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality’s related special issue. The student must be the first author of the manuscript, which must represent work they led as a student (i.e. eligible for the CSRF Student Presentation Award). The winning manuscript will be selected by the editors of the CJHS at the time of publication of the special edition.
Eligibility criteria: CSRF student member (or associate member if recently graduated) in good standing.
