New Membership Application
Step 1
Please complete the form below, then process your membership dues (link found on the following page) in order to become a member of CSRF. To read more about membership types and requirements see below or click here.
Step 2
Please electronically submit the following application materials to the CSRF Executive Director. We will not be able to process your application until all materials are received, and we aim to process your application within 4 weeks of receiving your complete membership package.
Full Membership
Current C.V.
One letter of reference from an active CSRF member or two letters from non-members.
If you are already an Associate or Student member, letters of reference are not required.
Associate Membership
Current C.V.
One letter of reference from an active CSRF member or two letters from non-members.
If you are already a student member, letters of reference are not required.
Student Membership
Current C.V. (Click here for a template if you have not yet drafted your own)
Written support (e.g., an email) from an active CSRF member (including current student members) attesting that the individual is currently a student involved in or interested in being involved in sexuality or sexual health research, sexual medicine, sex education, and/or sex therapy.
If identifying a person to support your membership application is a barrier, please contact our student representatives at csrfstudents@gmail.com for help!
Alternatively, applicants can substitute the support of an active CSRF member with written support from two non-members.
This membership type is available only to those currently enrolled in an academic program.
Upon completion of their degree, students may choose to renew their membership to CSRF at Member or Associate Member status.
Membership Category Descriptions
FULL MEMBERS shall be persons who possess an advanced degree from an accredited university in one of the biological, social sciences, education, or theology/pastoral studies. In addition, an active member is one who by virtue of their research, educational or clinical service activities demonstrates a commitment to the scientific pursuit of knowledge relating to sexuality. Outstanding contributions to the sciences related to sexuality may be considered in lieu of a degree as qualification for membership status. The annual membership feel for full members is $105.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS shall be individuals who are recent graduates, post-doctoral fellows, or any new individual joining (who is not a student) who opt to join CSRF at this membership level (these individuals would also be eligible to join at Member status). Individuals may hold Associate Membership status for up to three consecutive years. At any time an Associate Member may return to Student Membership if he/she returns to study as described below. Benefits of Associate Membership may include reduced membership and conference registration fees. The annual membership fee for Associate Members is $75.
STUDENT MEMBERS shall be individuals registered (full or part-time) in an accredited academic or clinical training program of study leading to a bachelor’s, graduate, or professional (e.g., medicine, law, social work) degree who have received or are currently receiving training in sex education, sex research, sexual medicine, or sex therapy. Upon completion of their degree, students may choose to renew their membership in CSRF at Member or Associate Member status. The annual membership fee for Student Members is $60.
