Student Awards
The Canadian Sex Research Forum (CSRF) grants awards to the best student presentations at the Annual Conference each year. Generally, two student awards are given: one for the best oral presentation (either for a 15-minute brief or 30-minute full presentation) and one for the best poster presentation.
A multidisciplinary panel working in the area of human sexuality will evaluate the presentations. The winner of the awards will be announced at the closing of the Annual Conference and will receive a certificate and voucher for free registration at a future CSRF Annual Conference.
To be eligible for the Student Award, individuals must be a student at the time of abstract submission or at the time of presentation at the Annual Conference. Students registered in a Canadian undergraduate or graduate program, as well as Canadian students registered in an undergraduate or graduate program in another country are eligible to receive an award. Individuals are ineligible for the Student Award if they have already graduated from a doctoral program before their presentation at the Annual Conference.
Students who would like to be considered for the awards must be the first author on the paper they are presenting, must indicate their preference for being considered on the Call for Abstracts, and include a letter or email from his/her advisor confirming his/her student status. Only presentations of research results will be considered for the student award.
