PLEASE NOTE
The chemicals used in fragrances and scented products can cause some individuals to have adverse health effects. We request that all participants avoid wearing fragrances/scented products for the health and well-being of others.
Accommodations by Request
Accommodations are available by request. Please enter the details of your accommodation needs in the designated space found in your registration form. If you did not fill out that section in your form when registering, please submit requests to csrfaccess@gmail.com. Please be aware of time constraints and submit requests as soon as possible. Dietary requests require at least one week notice prior to event to ensure that we are able to fully meet your nutritional needs. For accommodation requests via email please indicate “Request for Accomodation” in the subject line.
Relaxation Room
A quiet, low sensory room will be available at the Inn at Laurel Point. Please refrain from conversations and turn off all sounds on phones/devices in designated quiet spaces.
Earplugs will also be available for attendees to use when needed
Support Persons
Support persons are not required to register or pay for the conference if they are travelling with an attendee. Support persons will only be able to enter the conference with a registered attendee present.
Service Animals
Service animals are very welcome at this event and we seek to support any related needs. Attendees please note that service animals are working animals, so one should not pet or distract them.

The Inn at Laurel Point: Centennial park next to the hotel.
Ambrosia Conference Centre and Northern Quarter: Grassy area in Centennial square off of Douglas street, next to city hall.
Accessible Parking
Parking at the Inn at Laurel Point is valet only. Drive the vehicle up to the front entrance and hotel attendants will park your vehicle for you.
The Ambrosia Centre and Northern Quarter do not have any on-site parking spaces. These venues are both located downtown. Please click the following link for more information related to downtown accessible parking, including a map of accessible parking spaces.

Accessible Transportation
HandyDart
If you are a registered HandyDart participant in your hometown you are eligible to use Victoria’s HandyDart system, which is an accessible door to door transportation service. Tickets are $2.50 each way.
You must provide the following information when calling to schedule a pickup:

Building Entrances
Inn at Laurel Point: The front entrance door is wheelchair accessible. The door is not automatic. There will be an attendant there who can assist with the door if required.
Ambrosia Centre: The front entrance door is wheelchair accessible. The electric doors open with the touch of a button. However, the automatic doors are not in working order at the moment. The centre has agreed to keep the doors propped open to increase accessibility.
Northern Quarter: The front entrance door is wheelchair accessible. The doors do not open automatically. There will be someone there to assist with opening the door if needed.
Elevators
Inn at Laurel Point: All elevators include braille descriptions and auditory alerts.
Washrooms
Inn at Laurel Point: All three washrooms in close proximity to the event are wheelchair accessible. One private washroom is available that is wheelchair accessible/gender inclusive. The doors are not automatic. The heavy door to the private washroom was replaced with a lighter one due to our request. Conference representatives can assist with the door if needed.
Ambrosia Centre: One private washroom is available that is wheelchair accessible/gender inclusive. The doors are not automatic. Conference representatives can assist with the door if needed.
Northern Quarter: Three private washrooms are available that are wheelchair accessible/gender inclusive. The doors are not automatic. Conference representatives can assist with the door if needed.
Hotel Accessibility
Inn at Laurel Point: Guest rooms in the Erickson wing have washrooms large enough to accommodate a wheelchair with roll in showers. However, please note that these washrooms are not fully accessible, as they do not have grab bars around the toilets and in bathing areas.
